Gerhard Olschewski (born May 30, 1942 in Herzogskirchen , East Prussia ) is a German actor and radio play speaker .

life and work

Gerhard Olschewski's family, who fled East Prussia in 1945, lived first in Dithmarschen and from 1953 in Lübeck . Olschewski made his debut at the Hamburg St. Pauli Theater . He celebrated his first successes on television in 1966 with Das Nachtjackenviertel or in 1972 with Dieter Wedels Once in a Lifetime - History of a Home . In addition to his engagement at the theater, other television productions followed, such as Ottokar Runze's drama Verlorenes Leben , for which he received the Federal Film Prize in 1976 and a Silver Bear in the Best Actor category at the Berlin International Film Festival . Olschewski has been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) since 1969.

In addition, the actor became known for series roles: his longest-lived one was that of herbal doctor Hinnerk Hinnerksen in the ZDF early evening series Der Landarzt , which he played in over 200 series episodes between 1987 and 2013. He also played the pastor Martin Bramstedt in the ARD series Happy Birthday at the side of Witta Pohl and the fisherman Oskar Peters ("Räucheroskar") in the ZDF series Hallo Robbie! .
