In the bistro, she meets the siblings Laurent and Férial. The two women fall in love.

When the Germans occupy France, November first flees to the south of the country, where she is hidden by Férial's relatives. After the occupation of the south, she fell into the hands of the Gestapo , but was able to escape. She made her way to Paris, where she found shelter with Ferial and her mother. To prevent the Gestapo from looking for November, Férial appears to be collaborating with the occupiers. Both women survive the war, but they pay a heavy price.

"Alexandra von Grotes [...] confidently staged second film is a piece of contemporary French history and at the same time a love story about the strength of women."
