Volker Brandt
Volker Brandt (born August 2, 1935 in Leipzig ) is a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker .
Life
The son of a chemist grew up in Leipzig and Hanover and attended the Waldorf School . He completed his training as an actor at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and worked with Gustaf Gründgens .
Since the US television series The Streets of San Francisco (1972–1977) Brandt has been the German dubbing voice of Michael Douglas , whom he has dubbed since 1980 without exception. He also synchronized u. a. Paul Reiser in the series Crazy About You and the feature film Aliens - The Return , and Lee Horsley in Nero Wolfe and Matt Houston . He also dubbed Anthony Hopkins , Roddy McDowall , Sam Neill , Ted Danson and Christopher Walken once .
Brandt also works for radio play productions. Between 2004 and 2017 he set the role of Father Brown in the radio play series of the same name and Inspector Lestrade in Sherlock Holmes by Maritim . Since 2006 he has been with Lübbe Audio in Perry Rhodan : Star Ocean to be heard as Atlan .
As an actor, Brandt was seen as Berlin Tatort commissioner Walther from 1981 to 1985 and appeared regularly in the successful television series Die Schwarzwaldklinik and Das Traumschiff . In 2006 he took over the role of 'Father Hillman' in the play Winnetou III at the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg .
Brandt was married twice and has four children. His son Borris Brandt , from his marriage to Linde Fulda , was Managing Director of Endemol in Germany until September 2008 .
Brandt lives with his partner Susanne Meikl in Munich, with her he was on stage for the former Broadway play Columbo: Murder on a Prescription .
