action

Up-and-coming young journalist CJ Nicholas doubts District Attorney Mark Hunter's achievements. Prosecutor Hunter had won the last 17 murder trials and is now close to running for governor . CJ Nicholas and Corey Finley investigate the attorney's final cases. They find out that the convictions were only made on the basis of DNA evidence that suddenly appeared . Unable to produce solid evidence to support their theory, the two journalists decide on a plan to convict Prosecutor Mark Hunter in the courtroom. Nicholas sets a trap for Hunter and raises suspicions on himself after a murder. He is arrested and charged. However, Hunter notices what is being played and has Finley killed by a henchman, which destroys an important evidence DVD and the planned release of Hunter during the trial fails. Nicholas is sentenced to death. Employee Hunters, with whom Nicholas is in a relationship, takes over the investigation and is almost killed herself before she can find out the truth and Nicholas is released and Hunter arrested. But she also finds out that Nicholas is actually the killer, because the victim wanted to expose an alleged disclosure report of him as a fake. He is arrested again.

criticism

The lexicon of international films judged that the film disappointed “with bloodless characters and a less exciting story”. “The socially critical moments of the original” would be faded out and the film would “not find any independent aesthetic in terms of the staging”.
