Snout full is an Estonian-German feature film production from 2005 . The original Estonian title is Kõrini! .
Summary
When his wife left the truck driver Kaminsky, he played with suicidal thoughts, but would first like to bring his old music box from Leipzig to a friend in Estonia. An Estonian bank robber, who unexpectedly hid his loot on Kaminsky's truck, pursues him together with his “chauffeur”, the undertaker Manfred. The cellist Stella, on the other hand, would like to go back to her home country and will go with Kaminsky.
This film, which begins as a drama, turns into a road movie and comes to a conciliatory end. Kaminsky finds new courage to live and in Stella a good new friend, the beginning of a German-Estonian friendship.
criticism
“From the chance meeting of the characters on a trip from Leipzig to Tallinn, the film filters moments of a road movie, a crime burlesque and a tragicomic love story. All approaches lead to a broad, unpointed staging that leaves the actors no chance of shaping characters from the well-known types. In the endeavor to be politically correct in all respects, the film just seems conservative. "
production
The film is an Estonian-German production. Directed by Peeter Siim, the film was produced by Artur Talvik and Hans-Werner Honert, as well as the production companies Ruut (Estonia) and Saxonia Media Filmproduktion GmbH (Germany).
language
The film is almost entirely in German and only in a few places in Estonian, in these cases with subtitles. In the Estonian version it is completely subtitled, there too the film is in German. Rasmus Kaljujärv, one of the main actors, speaks German for the first time in this film. He learned the script by heart - sometimes without knowing what the text meant.
