Mamoru Miyano ( Japanese 宮 野 真 守 , Miyano Mamoru ; born June 8, 1983 in Saitama Prefecture ) is a Japanese voice actor ( seiyū ), actor and singer. He belongs to the Gekidan Himawari agency. Some of his best-known roles include Kiba in Wolf's Rain , Tamaki Suou in Ouran High School Host Club , Light Yagami in Death Note, and Death the Kid in Soul Eater . In 2008 he received several awards for the role of Setsuna F. Seiei in Mobile Suit Gundam 00 .

Miyano sings many opening, closing and character songs for animes, games etc., and since 2007 he has also released singles and albums as a solo artist. He is married and has one child.

biography

His first work as a voice actor was in 2001, the role of Griff in the Canadian-US TV series Caitlin's Way , which was translated for the Japanese broadcaster NHK . This was followed in 2002 by roles in Kingdom Hearts as Riku and in the anime Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children Light & Dark as Akira.

Miyano also appears in musicals and has been on stage for The Prince of Tennis as Tetsu Ishida since 2003 .
