Secret Service - Maison de Ayakashi ( Japanese 妖狐 × 僕SSシ ー ク レ ッ ト サ ー ビ ス, Inu Boku Shīkuretto Sābisu , dt. "'The Dog and Me' Secret Service", also Inu × Boku SS ) is a Japanese manga series by Cocoa Fujiwara , which appeared from 2009 to 2014. An anime adaptation first aired from January to March 2012.

action

The Maison de Ayakashi ( メ ゾ ン ・ ド ・ 章 樫 , Mezon do Ayakashi ), better known as Ayakashikan ( 妖 館 ), is a highly secured building in which people of demon ancestors, or yōkai (Ayakashi), reside, everyone with his own "Secret Service" bodyguard, who is also a kind of butler. A yōkai girl named Ririchiyo Shirakiin moves into the Ayakashikan in the hope that her family will have some peace there. However, she even gets a "Secret Service" bodyguard, Sōshi Miketsukami. To her displeasure, he behaves like a dog, extremely submissive and does more things in the background for her than she would ever like. At the same time, Ririchiyo struggles with herself because she sees herself trapped in the role of a person who discriminates against her fellow human beings. So she utters extremely hurtful words again and again before she can even do anything about it herself. Sōshi is practically the opposite of her, which ultimately leads to the fact that both slowly manage to free themselves from it and build a love relationship. She gets support in both a positive and a negative sense from the other flatmates in the house, most of whom become closest friends, while the story goes into deeper and deeper relationships between the characters and reveals the previous history, in which everyone has a certain Played a role.

In the further course, however, the incident occurs which everyone was afraid of and which is why the bodyguards were also turned off. However, they can do nothing against the attacking yōkai and all, with the exception of Ririchiyo's roommate Renshō, are murdered. Since all are supernatural beings, they are reborn a number of years later and are on average a lot younger than before, which makes them go through puberty again, but is also associated with a partial loss of memory of previous events.

Characters

Ririchiyo Shirakiin ( 白 鬼 院 凜 々 蝶 , Shirakiin Ririchiyo )
She is the female protagonist of the plot and at the same time a half-demon. Although she outwardly seems to like to be left alone and not be able to stand others, she longs inwardly to be able to communicate better with her fellow men and yōkai. Thereby she shows the typical peculiarities of a Tsundere , whose words do not correspond to what she really wanted to say or mean.
Sōshi Miketsukami ( 御 狐 神 双 熾 , Miketsukami Sōshi )
He is the male protagonist and was assigned to Ririchiyo as a servant. He himself is the reincarnation of an evil nine-tailed fox, which is also expressed in human form through iris heterochromy . He is extremely helpful towards others and, as a butler, is very collected, reserved and elegant. However, he has to obey the weakness of his mistress (or his master) unconditionally, even if it would cost his own life. He has been in contact with Ririchiyo since his childhood when he had to write the letters to Ririchiyo on behalf of Kagerō Shōkiin, his former master, which of course should be as if they were written by Kagerō himself.
Renshō Sorinozuka ( 反 ノ 塚 連勝 , Sorinozuka Renshō )
He is an Ittan-momen -Yōkai and Ririchiyo's minor resident. Over time, he builds up a kind of brother-sister relationship with her and thus gains Sōshi's trust. As an Ittan-momen he resembles a flying carpet in yōkai form and is characterized by extreme nonchalance.
Nobara Yukinokōji ( 雪 小路 野 ば ら , Yukinokōji Nobara )
She is Renshō's SS agent and a Yuki-onna . In her spare time she shows a great interest in the latest fashion and cute girls, which gives her a sometimes dubious reputation. In public she announces that she has no interest in men, but always cares very sincerely about Renshō.

The manga was published from April 22, 2009 (issue 5/2009) to February 22, 2014 (issue 3/2014) in the manga magazine Gangan Joker published by Square Enix in Japan.
