As long as I Live - Jab Tak Hai Jaan ( Hindi , जब तक है जान, Jab Tak Hai Jaan ) is an Indian Hindi film that premiered on November 13, 2012. It started in German-speaking countries on November 15, 2012, albeit only a small number of film copies in the original version with German subtitles ( OmU ). It was directed by Yash Chopra . The main roles are played by Shah Rukh Khan , Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma . As long as I Live was the last movie that the famous Yash Chopra directed before he died.

Major Samar Anand is the best-known specialist in the bomb disposal squad in the Indian military , but is also notorious for his closed nature. Only the budding documentary filmmaker Akira Rai discovered his secret when she read the moving love story of ten years ago in his diary. She is so fascinated by his story that she wants to accompany him every step of the way for a report on the “man who cannot die”. The cheerful and exuberant Akira can get closer and closer to the otherwise closed, serious Samar and finally falls in love with Samar, who does not reciprocate her feelings, however, because his heart still belongs to his old love Meera.
Akira asked Samar to come to London for the release of her first documentary because the Discovery Channel would like to present him live as the main character. Although this city evokes painful memories of his past, for the sake of Akira, he overcomes his revulsion and goes there. Just arrived there, he was hit by a car and suffered from retrograde amnesia as a result of the trauma of the accident . He cannot remember the last ten years, nor can he recognize Akira. In order not to jeopardize his recovery, Akira tries to find his former fiancée Meera and to convince her to reconsider her vow never to see Samar again.
