Lamhe ( Hindi : लम्हे, translated: Moments ) is a Bollywood film from the early 1990s and was highly acclaimed by critics and was a huge success in the UK. The film only flopped in India and yet it won five awards at the Filmfare Awards , including in the category of best film .
action
After several years in London , the rich young man Virendra Pratap Singh is finally returning to his home in Rajasthan , India . There he visits his surrogate mother Dai Jaa and also meets the pretty neighbor's daughter Pallavi. Although she is a little older, he falls in love with her instantly. However, too late he realizes her love for Siddharth. It breaks his heart and he sacrifices his great love.
After Pallavi and Siddharth got married, they had an accident in a traffic accident. Pallavi gives birth to a daughter before he dies. Virus returns to London again. He blames the baby Pooja for Pallavi's death. Nevertheless, Dai Jaa takes over the upbringing of the girl.
Years later, Virus comes to visit again and meets the now adult Pooja. At the sight of her he catches his breath: Pooja is exactly like her mother's. And while she falls in love with viruses, he rejects her.
Pooja travels to London with Dai Jaa to visit Virus. There they get to know Viren's friend Prem, who likes them straight away. However, Anita, Viren's friend, also meet, who knows about Viren's great love and so jealousy rises in her.
One day Pooja finds a hand drawing. She thinks she recognizes herself in the picture and feels something about viruses. Therefore, she confronts him with it and, disappointingly, has to learn that there is a misunderstanding and that the depicted woman is not her, but her mother.
Pooja returns to India with a broken heart and Viruses decides to marry Anita. Out of defiance, Pooja also wants to marry.
In India: In the village, Pooja tells a folk tale in front of an audience when she discovers viruses among the villagers. After Pooja left London, Virus realized his love for her. Fortunately, neither of them got married and so nothing stands in their way.

The song Kabhi Main Kahoon originated from a melody used as background music in the film Chandni . In the famous parody sequence, Waheeda Rehman dances to the hit Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai from the film Guide , in which she also played.
