Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif ( Hindi : कत्रिना कैफ़ , Katrinā Kaif , formerly Katrina Turquotte also Turcotte, born July 16, 1983 in Hong Kong ) is a British - Indian model and actress who became known through Hindi films . In addition to Hindi, she has made films in Telugu and Malayalam .
Life
Kaif was born in Hong Kong and later moved with her family to Hawaii and London , where she began her modeling career at the age of 14 . Her first job was in a jewelry campaign. Her father is from Kashmir and, according to her, is a businessman. Her mother, Suzanne Turquotte, is a lawyer. Her younger sister Isabel Kaif is an actress starting her career. To keep up in Bollywood, she took Hindi and dance classes.
Career
She had her first success at the side of Salman Khan in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya - Why did I fall in love? . In 2007 Kaif played in the blockbusters Partner and Welcome . In 2008 she appeared in another blockbuster, Singh Is Kinng . In Yash Chopra's last love film As long as I live - Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), she formed a screen couple with Shah Rukh Khan . She embodied the devout Meera, who lives with the bomb expert Samar, but leaves him after his car accident because she promised God to leave him if he lets him live. The film became a huge success outside of India as well. Kaif was seen with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in Dhoom: 3 and Mission Liebe - Ek Tha Tiger . Both films became a commercial success. In 2014 she played alongside Hrithik Roshan in the official Knight-and-Day remake Bang Bang! which, despite some bad reviews, attracted many viewers to the cinema.
Since the Indian action thriller Sarkar , which was first seen in Germany in 2007, the voice actress Manja Doering has primarily lent her voice in the German versions .
