Shiri Freda Appleby (* 7. December 1978 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress .

Life

Shiri Appleby was born to Jerry and Dina Appleby. Your first name comes from Hebrew and means "my song". At the age of 4 she was already in front of the camera for her first commercials, including for M & M’s and Taco Bell .

Her first real role was in 1984 in the American soap opera California Clan , and she made her film debut in 1988 in the low-budget film Curse II - The Bite .

She became known for the lead role in the television series Roswell , in which she played the role of Liz Parker . She can be seen in several music videos, including the Bon Jovi video “It's my Life”.

After Roswell was deposed, Appleby starred in various movies. She starred alongside Jesse Bradford and Erika Christensen in the teen thriller Swimfan and in the films Havoc (with Michael Biehn, Bijou Phillips and Anne Hathaway ), Undertow (with Kristen Stewart and Jamie Bell ) When Do We Eat? and What Love Is ( Cuba Gooding junior , Matthew Lillard and Anne Heche ) with. She also had a recurring guest role in the 2006 drama Six Degrees . Appleby starred alongside Tom Hanks , Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman in the film Charlie Wilson's War , released in February 2008 . In the same year she appeared as a protagonist in the series To Love and Die .

In the 15th and final season of Emergency Room Appleby works as an intern Daria . In the first season she also had a brief appearance as a patient.

In 2010 she took on one of the leading roles in the series Life Unexpected - Suddenly Family , which was broadcast for two seasons by the American network The CW .

In 2012 she starred as Lucy on the hit web show Dating Rules from My Future Self . She also took on guest roles in the TV series Franklin & Bash and Chicago Fire . Since 2015 she embodies beside Constance Zimmer , the Rachel Goldberg in the Lifetime series Unreal . She also had a supporting role in the series Code Black .

In July 2012, Appleby got engaged to boyfriend Jon Shook after a two-year relationship. The couple has a daughter (* 2013) and a son (* 2015). The two are now married.
