action

In a small American town, Lyle ( Jean-Marc Barr ) suffers from too much flesh , his penis supposedly too big. He was talked into this during puberty by a schoolmate who had seduced him. After that he didn't do anything with a woman because he was afraid of hurting them. This fear suited his wife Amy ( Rosanna Arquette ) because she cannot and does not want to sleep with him, because she still loves her first husband, who was killed in an accident, and does not want to let go of him. First the French Juliette ( Élodie Bouchez ), who came to town with him as Vernon's friend ( Ian Vogt ), and finally the young Bert ( Ian Brennan ) have sex with him. While Amy understands and Vernon has nothing against the relationship because he is gay, the village community begins a hunt for the "adulterer" that ends fatally.

The trilogy by Pascal Arnold and Jean-Marc Barr

Lovers (1999) is about the freedom of love in Europe today. The film tells a love story between two people of different nationalities - which is ultimately destroyed by the immigration authorities.
