The Union Theater in Kaiserslautern is one of the first movie theaters built in Germany . The building was erected in Art Nouveau style in 1911 according to plans by Christian Hocke . The three-storey plastered building over an L-shaped floor plan with sandstone structure shows historicizing forms ( bay window , gable with half-hip roof , portal with relief in the gable field). The interior still gives an idea of ​​the original layout and furnishings.
