Jesse Lon Plemons (born April 2, 1988 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actor best known for his role as Landry Clark in the television series Friday Night Lights and for his role as Todd in the television series Breaking Bad .

Life

Jesse Plemons was born in Dallas , Texas . He and his sister grew up in a town of 2,000 souls in Texas, near Waco . He got his first role in a Coca-Cola commercial when he was three and a half years old. In his early childhood he was seen as an extra in several films. He first attended school in his hometown, but eventually graduated from an online program at Texas Tech in 2007 . When he was around ten years old, he moved to Los Angeles because of his acting career. For a guest appearance on the television series The Guardian , he received a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 , which led to other roles. In 2006, at the age of 18, he received his first leading role in the ensemble series Friday Night Lights . He moved to Austin for the series . He starred as Landry Clark on the series until 2011 . He then appeared in several films such as Battleship and The Master . From 2012 to 2013, Plemons was part of the main cast as Todd on the final season of the television series Breaking Bad . He also played in El Camino: A “Breaking Bad” movie . He was always dubbed by Tobias Müller .

Jesse Plemons is said to be similar to Matt Damon . One of his first roles was a younger version of Matt Damon in All the Beautiful Horses , which was cut out for the final version of the film. In allusion to this resemblance, there is a meme that mentions crystal meth producer Todd , Plemon's role in Breaking Bad , Meth Damon .

Private

Jesse Plemons is in a relationship with fellow actress Kirsten Dunst , whom he met while filming the Fargo series . You are the parents of a son born in 2018.

Jesse Plemons received his first nomination at the Young Artist Awards in 2002 at the age of 13 for his appearance on The Guardian . In 2007 he was nominated for another Young Artist Award with Friday Night Lights . In 2013 and 2014 he was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the Breaking Bad Ensemble , and in 2014 the ensemble won the award.
