Carlos Alberto Moratorio (born November 10, 1929 in La Cruz , Corrientes , † March 7, 2010 ) was an Argentine rider .
He won the individual silver medal with Chalan in eventing at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo . He was then named Argentina's Sportsman of the Year in 1964. Moratorio also took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City . In 1966 he became world champion in individual eventing in Burghley . By profession he was a cavalry officer in the Argentine army .
