The Crow III - Fatal Redemption is an American-German fantasy film from 2000. It is the second sequel to The Crow , which is based on the comics by James O'Barr . It was released directly on DVD.

action

Alex Frederic Corvis is said to have cruelly murdered his girlfriend Lauren Randall. He protests his innocence, but is sentenced to death. On his 21st birthday he is said to be killed by the electric chair. Alex's soul finds no rest as long as the untimely death of his girlfriend goes unpunished. He returns as "The Crow" to take revenge on the real culprit. He arrives just in time to discover that Lauren's younger sister Erin herself has now fallen into the orbit of the murderers. During his research he comes across a group of corrupt police officers who appear to be involved in the crime.

criticism

The lexicon of the international film judged: “The second sequel to a horror thriller with cult character, underlaid with rock and pop music, the dignified set-up is far above the average of the genre, but which increases into an intoxication of blood and violence, while the morbid atmosphere of the first release is neglected. "

Trivia

  • The German DVD / TV version was much shorter than the original, only the unchecked press box from BMG was completely uncut. Since many important parts of the plot and the entire final scene were omitted, many connections were missing in the German version.
  • The German DVD did not contain an original English soundtrack (probably due to the massive cuts).
  • In 2013 the film was re-examined by the FSK and then received the full age rating from 18 years.
