Grant Shaud
Grant Shaud (born February 27, 1961 in Evanston , Illinois ; actually Edward Shaud III ) is an American actor who was best known for the role of Miles Silverberg in the television series Murphy Brown from the 1990s.
Career
Childhood and youth
Grant Shaud was born in Evanston, Illinois to Ann Barbara (nee Dougherty) and Edward Shaud, Jr. His family was Irish Catholic. He attended Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, which he graduated in 1979. In 1983 he graduated from Richmond University with a degree in journalism. There he belonged to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Association.
Career as an actor
Shaud moved to New York City in 1984 to work in the theater. In his first television role, he played a guest named Jack in Kate & Allie . From 1988 he played Miles Silverberg in Murphy Brown . He lived with fellow actor Jane Leeves before and during her contract period on the show where she played his girlfriend. He left the show in 1996 when its lead role was taken on by Lily Tomlin .
Most recently, he took on a number of assignments as a voice actor, e.g. B. in the movie Antz or the television series Batman: The Animated Series . He starred on The Drew Carey Show as Jack, who believed himself to be the devil. He also played Alex Rosetti in the television series Madigan Men , together with Gabriel Byrne .
