(1791) Patsayev is an asteroid of the main belt that was discovered on September 4, 1967 by the Russian astronomer T. Smirnova at the Crimean Observatory in Nautschnyj ( IAU code 095).
The asteroid is named after the Soviet cosmonaut Viktor I. Pazajew (1933–1971).
