The University of Richmond is a private university in Richmond , Virginia .
It was founded in the 1830s. It consists of five departments: School of Arts and Sciences , E. Claiborne Robins School of Business , Jepson School of Leadership Studies , University of Richmond School of Law and the School of Professional & Continuing Studies . The university has around 4,350 students.
Sports
The university's sports teams compete under the name Richmond Spiders in the Atlantic 10 Conference .
