Eric Harry Timothy Mabius (born April 21, 1971 in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor .

Life

Eric Mabius is of Austrian - Polish descent. After graduating from Regional High School in Amherst , Massachusetts , he studied at Sarah Lawrence College in New York a . a. Film and acting. This was the starting point for his first smaller off-Broadway productions and his first film appearance. He starred in several television series such as Chicago Hope , Party of Five , OC, California, and The L Word - When Women Love Women . His breakthrough came with the seriesEverything Betty! which is similar to the German telenovela Verliebt in Berlin .

Eric Mabius is married to interior designer Ivy Sherman and has two sons with her.
