action

Denver, Colorado. 2 years ago ... at Christmas Emily and Ben met and fell in love on the ice rink. On Thanksgiving, they decide to get married on their anniversary. Her wedding should be perfectly planned, but time is running out when Emily has to go on a business trip to Florida right now, which should last until December 19th. As soon as Emily has left, the difficulties begin, the committed organist cancels as well as the restaurant that was supposed to host the wedding celebrations. Ben is very eager to do all the outstanding things as Emily wishes, but after a short time he feels totally overwhelmed with table decorations, flower arrangements, seating arrangements and whatever else comes up.

Emily senses from afar that Ben needs her and that her big day could end in a fiasco if she can't intervene soon. Since her business trip will drag on until the 22nd, time is getting scarcer. But it gets worse: On its return flight, the plane lands somewhere in the middle of nowhere due to a tropical storm and Emily is stuck. The party that her friends give for her must take place without her. As the storm subsides, new difficulties emerge which result in Emily not being able to catch the plane that is supposed to take her home in time. Since everyone wants to go home at Christmas, booking a flight is more difficult than expected. The disasters are increasing. Eight hours before the wedding is due to take place, Emily is still not home. Two hours before the wedding, Emily is on her return flight, an announcement is made that the flight will be diverted due to a snow chaos in Denver. Emily calls Ben crying, who implores her to believe in him, the wedding will take place in any case. And now it shows what organizational genius is in Ben: within a short time he organizes a helicopter that picks up Emily, a horse-drawn sleigh that takes her to church, a new location for the celebrations and everything else that is necessary for a nice celebration .

Relieved and happy, both stand in front of the altar and find exactly the words that touch the hearts of all those present. The clergyman says he has never seen a couple as ready for this step as Emily and Ben. Even if the party is completely different than originally planned, it is exactly the right thing for this extraordinary couple.
