The Crow - The Series (Original Title: The Crow: Stairway to Heaven ) is a 22-part Canadian television series from 1998, based on the cartoon character The Crow . The title role was played by Mark Dacascos .

action

The plot of the pilot is based on that of the first movie, The Crow . Also in the television series, the musician Eric Draven returns to the living after his murder with unearthly abilities, where he is protected by a crow (the messenger of the soul). He is condemned to remain on earth as a merciless undead and to atone for all the injustices to which he once fell victim. Only then is it possible for him to be led into the afterlife as a so-called intermediate being (“crow”). First he avenges his death and that of his girlfriend - unlike in the movie - he has to stay on earth until there is a balance between good and bad (which he tries to establish in the following 21 episodes).

The last episode ended with a cliffhanger that was not disbanded because Universal Studios bought the producing film company PolyGram and was not interested in a sequel afterwards.
