Katie Anne Stuart (born March 22, 1985 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a Canadian actress .

life and career

Katie Stuart grew up in Vancouver. Her older brother Ted is also an actor.

She started at the Vancouver Youth Theater when she was nine. At one of the performances there was an agent in the audience who asked Stuart to come and see her at the agency. She was added to the index and received acting lessons there. It wasn't long before she was hired for her first role.

Stuart has appeared in over 30 films and TV series, mostly in supporting roles or as an episode cast in series such as Stargate SG 1 or The L Word - When Women Love Women . She became better known in 2003 with the role of Kitty Pryde in the film X-Men 2 . Also in 2003 she was cast for the lead role in the film Prisoners of Time . Since 2014, it is in the US American science fiction - television series The 100 in the role of Monroe to see.

From 2007 to 2013, Stuart attended college in Squamish , British Columbia, and then moved to Concordia University in Montreal , Québec , where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts.
