action

A TV host asks Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward who Deep Throat is. The reporters deny that they invented this figure. They argue when one of the journalists discovers that the presenter was trying to fool them. The rest of the film plot is shown in a flashback .

15-year-old schoolgirls Betsy Jobs and Arlene Lorenzo meet in the apartment of one of the girls, which is located in the Watergate building complex . They happened to witness the break-in into the premises of the Democratic Party and the arrest of the intruders. The next day, her school class visits the White House . You see one of the men met that night, Bob Haldeman, again. Haldeman loses a list of names and amounts of money the girls take as souvenirs.

The students witness when Richard Nixon complains that his dog does not respect him. The dog plays with the girls Nixon appoints as official dog gas guides . When he learns from Haldeman that they might know something about the burglary that went wrong, he appoints them as secret youth counselors . In this capacity, they should keep quiet about all White House affairs.

The girls talk about their experiences that nobody believes in. For Nixon they bake Hello Dolly cookies with nuts with strange green leaves between them. The cookies put Nixon in a good mood. His visitor Brezhnev also tastes it and sings the title song from Hello, Dolly! .

Lorenzo falls in love with Nixon. She reveals her love to the tape that recorded conversations in Nixon's study. She wants to check the recording and hears Nixon mistreating his dog. The angry girls argue with the man. They call Bernstein and Woodward, whom they tell about the list they found earlier. They use the name of a sexual practice from a porn film as an alias.

Betsy's brother, Larry, admits that he was hiding his drugs among the nuts. The youngsters suspect that the Hello Dolly cookies are to blame, which is why Nixon is paranoid .

Nixon resigns. When he and his wife are flying out with Marine One on the last day of their office , Nixon sees Betsy and Arlene on the roof of one of the houses. They wear the costumes sewn from the American flag and hold a banner on which Nixon is insulted. He shows the finger .

Dan Hedaya shows the soul of President Nixon no worse than Anthony Hopkins in the film Nixon .

Kevin Thomas wrote in the Los Angeles Times on August 4, 1999 that the " hot " and " funny " film should appeal to all age groups.
