Joshua Jackson
Joshua "Josh" Carter Jackson (born June 11, 1978 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian actor best known for the roles of Pacey Witter from Dawson's Creek and Peter Bishop from Fringe - borderline cases of the FBI .
life and work
Jackson was born to Fiona and John Jackson. At the age of seven he already worked as an extra on the television series MacGyver and shot many commercials in his childhood and youth .
Jackson became known to a larger audience through the series Dawson's Creek , in which he played one of the leading roles , that of Pacey Witter . He also directed an episode of the series . In the cinema he often starred in successful teenage films. Among the best known include Mighty Ducks - Das Superteam of Walt Disney and its two sequels, and Urban Legend , The Skulls and Cruel Intentions . He made a cameo in Ocean's Eleven by Steven Soderbergh .
Jackson 's most ambitious role to date has been that of Matt Galloway in the semi - documentary film The Laramie Project, about a group of actors researching a homosexual murder based on an actual case in the small town of Laramie , Wyoming .
Jackson was dating actress Diane Kruger from 2006 to summer 2016 . In December 2019, he married British actress Jodie Turner-Smith . Their daughter was born on April 21, 2020.
