To prove the power of rumors for a seminar, college students Derrick, Jones and Travis started the rumor that prudish Naomi, who is decried as an eternal virgin all over campus, had drunk at a party with her boyfriend Beau had. As desired, the rumor is spreading like wildfire. But for fun it turns serious when Naomi, who fell asleep drunk at the party, starts to believe the rumor herself and reports her boyfriend Beau as a rapist. When Jones tries to stop the rumor, no one believes her, and Derrick becomes obsessed with keeping the ball rolling. To save Beau from jail, Jones visits Naomi and learns from her that she and Derrick were a couple in high school until he raped her.

James Berardinelli criticized the "lifeless" characters and the undemanding or even "idiotic" script on ReelViews . He described the end of the film as "embarrassingly stupid". He certified the actors to be good looks.
