Marcia Cross
Marcia Anne Cross (born March 25, 1962 in Marlborough , Massachusetts ) is an American actress .
life and career
Marcia Cross, who received her master's degree in psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles , is best known as an actress in American television series . She starred in numerous series such as Edge of Night , Cheers , Everwood , King of Queens , CSI: Crime Scene Investigation , One Life to Live , Another World , Booker and Knots Landing .
One of her best-known roles was that of Dr. Kimberly Shaw in the series Melrose Place , which she played from 1992 to 1997. From 2004 to 2012 she played Bree Van de Kamp in the hit series Desperate Housewives . For this role, Marcia Cross was nominated for the first time in her career in 2004 for various television awards, including Emmy , Golden Satellite Award , TV Guide Award, 3 times for the Golden Globe and 5 times for the Screen Actors Guild Award . She won the Screen Actors Guild Award twice with the ensemble. She received the Golden Satellite Award for her portrayal of Bree Van de Kamp in the second season of the series.
Since she played the role of Bree, a perfect housewife, in Desperate Housewives, she has portrayed a similar figure in a commercial for the Spar chain on Austrian television.
Cross was in a relationship with Richard Jordan , 25 years his senior . Their relationship ended when he died. In November 2005, Cross became engaged to stockbroker Tom Mahoney and married him on June 24, 2006. On February 20, 2007, Cross gave birth to twins in Los Angeles.
