Louis Ferreira (born February 20, 1967 in Terceira , Portugal ), also known as Justin Louis , is a Canadian actor of Portuguese origin.

Career

Ferreira's parents immigrated to Canada when he was a child. There he grew up in North York , a district of Toronto . His acting career began in the mid-1980s with minor supporting roles in predominantly Canadian productions. Larger roles and guest appearances in internationally successful series followed. From 2003 to 2006 he played a leading role in the series Missing . Ferreira received the 2008 Gemini Award for his role in the Canadian crime series Durham County . From 2009 he was in the science fiction series Stargate Universe as Colonel Everett Young . On December 16, 2010, Syfy announced the cancellation of the series, the last episodes were broadcast in the spring of 2011 on American television.

Ferreira took the stage name Justin Louis on advice at the beginning of his acting career. In 2009 he made the decision to drop his stage name and continue working under his real name.
