Georgia Brown (born October 21, 1933 in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets , England , † July 5, 1992 in London , England as Lillian Claire Laizer Getel Klot ) was a British film and theater actress and singer .

Life

Georgia Brown, the daughter of Jewish parents who fled Nazi Germany , survived the war in Wales , where she was evacuated from London , which was hit by German bombings .

After the war she began her career on London stages before she was able to celebrate successes on Broadway in the USA .

On television she was in largely unknown, mostly British productions in front of the camera. It was only in the last few years of her life that Brown was able to gain popularity in television series such as Murder is Her Hobby and Spaceship Enterprise: The Next Century . Her film appearances include the role of Mrs. Freud in No Coke for Sherlock Holmes from 1976.

Georgia Brown died in 1992 as a result of an operation. She was only 58 years old.
