Marina Genschow (born February 21, 1950 in Berlin ; † April 10, 1987 ) was a German actress and voice actress .

Life

The daughter of the actor and director Fritz Genschow and the actress Rita Genschow took part in performances by her father as a child. In the Titania Palace in Berlin, she was on stage in productions of Peterchens Mondfahrt , Hansel and Gretel , Little Red Riding Hood and The Swapped Prince .

After graduating from high school, she studied German at the Free University and completed ballet and acting training. Since 1973 she has worked at various Berlin theaters, especially at the Freie Volksbühne , the Renaissance Theater , the Theater des Westens and the Hansa Theater .

The slim blonde actress worked in television productions and took on the lead role in the fairy tale film Snow White and Rose Red in 1984 , for which she had also contributed the script. She was a partner in Fritz-Genschow-Film-GmbH and a busy voice actress. She voiced Jane Birkin in Death on the Nile and Audrey Landers in Dallas, among others .

Marina Genschow died on April 10, 1987 at the age of 37.
