Rita-Maria Nowotny , also Rita-Maria Nowottnick-Genschow , (born June 1, 1925 , † September 9, 2000 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Nowotny was seen on the big screen several times in her husband Fritz Genschow's fairy tale films in the 1950s . She first played in the Grimm adaptations Rotkäppchen (1953) and Hansel and Gretel (1954). In the fairy tale adaptation of Frau Holle (1954) she was the Goldmarie alongside Renée Stobrawa (Frau Holle).

In Cinderella (1955) she was seen alongside Rüdiger Lichti (Prince) in the title role of Cinderella. In the same year Nowotny was seen in a smaller role in Der Struwwelpeter and in the feature film Ina, Peter and the Rasselbande .

In 1956 she played the role of Katchen in Tischlein deck dich . In 1957, her last film work for the time being followed in Die Gänsemagd , in which she played the title role of the goose girl.

27 years later, Nowotny directed the fairy tale film Snow White and Rose Red (1984).

Rita-Maria Nowotny was married to Fritz Genschow until his death in 1977 . The marriage came from the actress Marina Genschow (1950–1987) and the screenwriter and film producer Gabriel Genschow (1954–2007).
