Richard Gant

Richard E. Gant (born March 10, 1944 in Berkeley , San Francisco , California ) is an American actor .

Life

After graduating from Oakland College , Richard Gant starred in over 35 Broadway productions and toured with several theater companies before appearing for the first time in 1980 for the television drama Attica and the action film Countdown in Manhattan . Films like Rocky V , The Big Lebowski and Norbit followed , as well as guest appearances on the television series LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials and How I Met Your Mother , where he took on major roles in Special Unit 2 - The Monster Hunters and General Hospital .

In addition to the actors Dean Cain , Teri Hatcher , Patrick Cassidy , Michael McKean , George Murdock and Rob LaBelle , Gant is the only one who appeared in the two superman series Superman - The Adventures of Lois & Clark and Smallville .
