Patchwork Gangsta is a German dramedy that was produced by SWR for funk and has been broadcast on YouTube since 2019 .
action
The street rapper Amir owes a debt to the Arab clan leader Yassin Khalel, who threatens him because of it. Amir sees a way out in a bank robbery, in which he meets the bank employee Franz Bonz, who wants to break out of his bourgeois life and sees the bank robbery as an opportunity. He blackmailed Amir with the robbery and by chance becomes his manager. However, Bonz has no idea about rap and music, but thanks to his talent at winning people over, he manages to turn Amir into a successful musician. In the course of the series, the two get more and more caught up in a field of tension between clan rivalries and stuffy family life.

The first season of the series was filmed in Baden-Baden and the surrounding area from July 2018 .

The first three episodes of the series were released on YouTube on March 19, 2019. Further episodes were published on a weekly basis. As part of the marketing of Patchwork Gangsta , the directors Hordes and Karsch put the actor Simon Gosejohann for the show Do you understand fun? as decoys in.
