Tom Barcal

Tom Barcal (* 16th June 1964 in Duisburg as Thomas Werner Barcal ) is a German actor and singer .

Tom Barcal is the youngest son of the housewife Ilse Berg (née Klofik) (1929–1998) and the miner Günter Begemann (1934–1965). From 1979 to 1980 he trained as a miner and machinist in the Walsum mining industry and worked in the Prosper-Haniel mine in Bottrop until 1999 . In 1988 he moved from Duisburg to Krefeld . Due to a serious accident, Barcal was unable to work in 1999. This was followed by two years of rehab .

He decided to reorient his career: Barcal completed his acting training at the Kulturforum Alte Post. School for art and theater in Neuss . He received leading and supporting roles in, among others, Alarm for Cobra 11 and played in Tatort , in Lindenstrasse as well as in other series and television films.

He was also in front of the camera with Jürgen Prochnow in the English The Poet and with Udo Kier in the American film Tor zum Himmel , best known for his role as Marc (Keule) Schneider in the RTL series Alles was geht in he played from 2006 to 2011. He had his first feature-length leading role in the movie Black Zero , which premiered in June 2009. In 2016, Barcal played a supporting role in the Hollywood film Euro Club . Barcal also plays the villain Igor Drakov alongside Katy Karrenbauer in the dramedy series Patchwork Gangsta produced by the SWR for the funk media service.

In addition to his work as an actor, Barcal also appears as a singer and has so far released seven CDs.

He is also involved socially and in the context of charity events, for example as an ambassador for the organization “Help for injured children's souls e. V. “He has received several awards for his commitment.

Private

Barcal married Petra Brückner in 1996, their son was born in the same year. The marriage ended in divorce in 2000.
