Have grew up in Neuss and Düsseldorf. His roots are in Eritrea , from where his mother fled the civil war at the time. He came into contact with hip-hop early on and started rapping when he was 14. With his first band "Fingerprints" he gained his first stage and studio experience before he became a member of BTM Squad in 2003 under the name "Habesha". The Düsseldorf band released a total of seven albums, first on D'Town Partner Records, then on their own label 3rd World Resistance and finally on their last album in 2013 on Blackline and were one of the first street rap crews to have a large fan base in the underground.

In 2008, haben released the album "Rushhour" in cooperation with the rapper Blumio . He has also been Afrob's backup MC for many years . After BTM Squad broke up in 2013, haben decided on a solo career and began working on their own songs at the Neuss label Full-Level, especially together with producers 9Milli and FAFA. In 2015 he published his first video "Everyone wants to have" and appeared in the opening act for the ASD Blockbusta tour. In 2016 his first solo EP “haben” and other videos were released. In addition, haben won the vote for Newcomer of the Year for the online music television Ampya . In September 2017, haben released his first solo LP "Alle haben haben" via Full-Level and Groove Attack . He is currently working on songs for his new LP.

In the dramedy series Patchwork Gangsta by Christian Karsch and Eric Hordes , produced by SWR for the funk media service , haben stood in front of the camera as Amir Abbas alongside Stefan Mocker , Neil Malik Abdullah and Katy Karrenbauer . Inspired by this, he released his next EP "Amir" to coincide with the start of the series.
