BSMG (short for Black Superman Group ) is a German hip-hop - supergroup , consisting of the two rappers Megaloh and Musa and the producer Ghanaian Stallion .
Band history
The Black Superman Group was founded in 2017. The three members of the group see themselves as a musical movement that wants to bring the continent of Africa back into people's consciousness. Therefore, the first sound carrier, Platz an der Sonne, is also a concept album that deals with the topics of colonial history , slavery , homeland and everyday racism in Germany.
Platz an der Sonne was released on September 22, 2017 via Nesola Universal Music . Fonz, Joy Denalane , Chima Ede, Amewu and the Ugandan singer Maro were all guests . The album reached number 38 in the German charts and number 88 in the Swiss music charts. In the Juice annual charts, the album was ranked 8th nationally.
Music genre
The first album was musically influenced by Ghanaian Stallions Afrotrap productions. For the thematic concept, the band borrowed from Outkasts Atliens , Snoop Dogg , 2Pac and Bob Marley , but also German productions such as Afrobs Made in Germany and Daniel X from D-Flame .
