Made in Germany entered the German album charts at number 24 on July 9, 2001 and was ranked 39th and 54th in the following weeks. Overall, it stayed in the top 100 for six weeks. In Austria the album was placed 48th and in Switzerland 68th.
On May 14, 2001, the title song Made in Germany was released as the first single and reached number 79 in the German charts. In addition, on September 17, 2001, the song Open your eyes was decoupled, which was ranked 65th.

Arne Brugger from laut.de rated the album with four out of a possible five points. He describes it as "one of the best German Hip Hop albums" in 2001. It is "a clear development to be recognized" and especially "the second part of" Reimemonster "mit Ferris" is praised. Guests D-Flame and Warda were also rated positively, while Gentleman's guest contribution and the theme song were viewed more negatively.
