Horror Cabinet is a German radio play series for young people and adults by the Titania Medien publishing house. The radio plays from the horror , mystery , thriller and science fiction genres are based primarily on works by well-known authors such as Bram Stoker , Robert Louis Stevenson , Edgar Allan Poe , Mary W. Shelley , HP Lovecraft , Robert E. Howard , Alexandre Dumas and Arthur Conan Doyle . Many Hollywood star voice actors are used as speakers.

Cover

After initially using photos for the design of episodes 1 to 9, the illustrator Firuz Aşkın was subsequently won , who has been designing the covers of the series since 2005, with new illustrations also being created for the first 9 episodes. Askin carried out the original illustrations in oils, watercolors and acrylics. In this form he illustrated a total of 70 covers for the horror cabinet before he passed away in October 2011.

The design of the cover pictures was then handed over to Ertugrul Edirne, who made four illustrations for the horror cabinet for the first time for the autumn 2012 program. The episodes concerned are The Shadow Over Innsmouth 1 , The Shadow Over Innsmouth 2 , Voice in the Night and Black Talons .
