Necroscope
Necroscope is a vampire novel series by Brian Lumley that was first published in 1986 . It is about Harry Keogh, a so-called necroscope (from Greek νεκρός ( nekro ) "dead", σκοπεῖν (scopeο) "look, observe"), who has the ability to speak to the dead.
content
Harry Keogh is an employee of the E-Department, a department of the British secret service , which primarily uses people with ESP skills for espionage purposes.
As the stories progress, the past of Harry Keogh and the Wamphyri is revealed. In addition to talking to the dead, Harry can also travel the so-called Möbius continuum in the novel , which is named after the mathematician August Ferdinand Möbius and which behaves similar to the Möbius strip.
In the context of the first five volumes, the opponents Harry Keogh and the E-Department are the Wamphyri Faethor Ferenczy, Thibor Ferenczy and Yulian Bodescu and the necromancer Boris Dragosani. In contrast to the necroscope, the necromancer forcibly wrests their secrets from the dead while they talk to a necroscope of their own free will.
