Gigantic (alternative title: Gigantic , My Girl - Love with Obstacles ) is an American romantic comedy with melodramatic motifs from 2008. Paul Dano as the mattress salesman Brian and Zooey Deschanel as the millionaire daughter Harriet can be seen in the lead roles .

Brian Weatherby is 28 years old and a mattress salesman. Unlike his brothers, he has not yet found his place in the world, but he sacrifices a large part of his time for his lifelong dream. Brian wants to adopt a baby from China. After the millionaire's daughter Harriet comes into his shop one day and falls asleep on a mattress, Brian becomes involved in an affair with her. In order to win her over, he also has to convince her father, Al Lolly, who is a passionate collector of art.
