history

The Dead 60s mix punk rock , ska and reggae , so that comparisons to The Clash , The Specials , Gang of Four and King Tubby have emerged in indie circles.

In Germany, The Dead 60s reached its first audience in 2005 with the download- only song "Riot Radio". They only became known to a larger audience through their album "The Dead 60s", released on September 30, 2005. The album was also released as a limited double CD in Germany; the second CD, "Space Invader Dub", contains most of the B-sides that appeared on the singles released in the UK .

In the course of 2007 the German market was given more strategic consideration. The song "Ghostfaced Killer" was released on March 9, 2007 in a remix version (as the so-called "Neues vom Wixxer-Remixx") with Madness , who contributed the brass, as the title track of the film Neues vom Wixxer . At the same time as the film release, the debut album was re-released in a new edition.

The second album, "Time To Take Sides", was released on August 10, 2007 and, in contrast to the debut, contains more pop-rock elements. Outside of Germany and France , where the Dead 60s were more noticed than in Germany, this album was only released in early 2008.
