Francis Winter (* 1972 in Berlin ) is a German actor and author .

Life

Francis Winter completed his acting training at the Fritz Kirchhoff School in Berlin. He then worked as a theater actor a. a. at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg and at the Renaissance-Theater and Deutsches Theater , at the Vaganten Stage and the Schaubühne in Berlin . His role repertoire includes Toby in Amy's World , Moon in The one you love , Jacob in Another Part of the Forest , Angel in Class Enemy and Louis in Barbarians . He lives in Berlin.

In March 2006, Winter's play Schöne Surprise premiered in the Comedy on Kurfürstendamm Berlin. His mother Judy Winter played the leading role of Norma Kline . Francis Winter played the role of Peter in the play. The piece takes up the explosive topic of racism . The comedy Düsseldorf , the Hamburg Ernst-Deutsch-Theater and the Schauspielhaus Basel successfully staged the beautiful surprise , and it was also presented on tours for four years. In total, over 280,000 visitors saw the piece. In February 2009, Winter's stage play Finding Traces had its premiere at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg, starring Suzanne von Borsody and Ulrike Folkerts . Almost 40,000 viewers saw the play in 5 12 weeks. For the search for clues , Winter received screenplay funding from the Filmstiftung NRW; the filming was planned for 2013/14. From 2009 to 2011 he was a lecturer at L4 GmbH - Institute for Digital Communication. Since 2013 he has been working as a film lecturer for projects at the Senate for Culture and Education in Berlin.
