The big comeback is a German television film by Tomy Wigand from 2011. Uwe Ochsenknecht and Andrea Sawatzki play the main roles in the media satire . The film was nominated for the 2012 Grimme Prize .

Hansi Haller was a successful pop singer in the 1980s . But since he only appears in hardware stores and his fame has faded, he struggles with life. Even his agents Swens and Dreher cannot help him. The only Hansi-Haller fan club is in the Eifeldorf Bad Böhlen. Its members are Erika Plausen and Irene Büggel. Erika receives a visit from her daughter Heike, who has just left her unfaithful friend after his affair.
At the private television broadcaster TV4, editor Ute Meier-Thiel is to vacate the chair for the young Marion Ackermann. An idea for a new show is needed. When Ute overhears Hansi's agents in a restaurant, she has a plan: A documentary about “Germany's most unsuccessful pop singer”. She travels to Bad Böhlen with Hansi. Ute finds out that the men in the village don't like Hansi's music and torments the farmers with his songs. Hansi, however, does not notice that he is slowly falling in love with Heike Plausen. The two share a bathroom and quarrel about it, but Heike inspires Hansi to write a new song. After another argument, Hansi throws the CD out the window, but Irene finds it.
When Ute is supposed to pack up after unsuccessful campaigns against Hansi, he confesses to her that he was once a porn actor. Ute now has a new trump card in her hand, a scandal. She passes on her knowledge to the Bild newspaper. Hansi is confronted with his past - and Ute's betrayal - by the unit manager before a TV talk show. Hansi thinks about it and then tears his toupee off his head in the live broadcast and explains that it was all sins of youth and that he is now a newcomer. His song, inspired by Heike, is sent to a radio station by Erika and Irene and is a hit. Now Hansi is making a comeback and Ute is also benefiting from it.
