Antje Lewald

Antje Lewald (* 1960 in Cologne ) is a German actress .

Life

Antje Lewald attended Else Bongers' drama school in Berlin from 1981–1983 . After numerous theater stations, u. a. with permanent engagements at the Stadttheater Heilbronn (1985–1987) and at the Städtische Bühnen Nürnberg (1987–1990), she became known as a television actress in the role of Uschi Ewermann in the TV series Die Camper , which she became known from 1997 on from the second season embodied until the end of the series. She also appeared in numerous Tatort episodes.

In the 2009-produced classic adaptation Faust (2011), directed by Alexander Sokurow , she played Gretchen's mother; her role, which does not appear in Goethe's Faust I , was created in Sokurow's film through a reinterpretation of the figure of the neighbor Marthe Schwerdtlein. In 2010 she played the role of Angelika Löhmer in the television series Lindenstrasse in the episode 1269 ; she was the mother of the serial character Sandra Löhmer. Since 2013 she can be seen regularly in the German television series Der Lehrer as the secretary of Ms. Cornelius.

In parallel to her television work, Lewald continues to appear at the theater, mostly on boulevard stages (Theater am Dom, Comedy Düsseldorf, etc.). Antje Lewald lives in Cologne.
