action

Art student Sophie made friends with Manni Höch. He proudly introduces his best friend, the private detective Georg Wilsberg, to his new girlfriend and invites him to her first vernissage. Wilsberg is also impressed by the attractive young lady, but this joy does not last long, because the next day Sophie is found lying dead next to her works of art. Commissioner Springer and her over-committed colleague Overbeck try to solve the case, but once again step on the spot, so that private detective Wilsberg begins to investigate on his own. He secretly looks around the victim's apartment and finds a large amount of cash. Since Sophie was actually a penniless student and earned a little money as a domestic help at Vera Lemberg, Wilsberg senses a motive.

In order to find out more about the Lvivs, Alex is employed there as a domestic help. The son Lukas had a very intimate relationship with Sophie and since he was often around her, he might have seen the murderer. Meanwhile, Wilsberg tries to find out where Sophie got all the cash from, when he comes across an entry in her diary. This leads to a patient who died a few weeks ago in the hospital in which Heiner Lemberg works as a doctor. Wilsberg found out that Sophie had a relationship with Lemberg and had learned about internal clinics, with whom she was not Lemberg, but his colleague Dr. Rüdiger had blackmailed Steinfurt. Wilsberg succeeds in finding the wanted man, who is arrested by the arriving commissioner.

background

Wilsberg and the Mute Witness appeared on DVD along with the episode Wilsberg and the Dead in the Confessional from Polarfilm .

In this episode, the running gag "Bielefeld" refers in minute 58 to patient records that a relative would like to see for his aunt from Bielefeld.

Alex begins her law degree in this episode.

criticism

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv rated it positively and said: “What would fall under suspicion of cliché in serious crime series, in Münster crime comedies the same patterns are drifting towards cult. The point-safe hacking between the continuous staff hardly wears off, for that Lansink, Schafmeister, Russek and Klink are simply too strong as types. "

The editorial team of TV Spielfilm is of the opinion: "As always, the humorous roles compensate for the lack of tension." Conclusion: "No exceptional crime thriller, but good entertainment."
