Horst D. Scheel

Horst D. Scheel (born June 21, 1950 in Daaden , Westerwald ) is a German actor and casting director .

Scheel first completed an apprenticeship as a waiter and then worked as a barman in the Berlin celebrity bar “Conti-Fischstuben”. There he made contacts with several actors. Since 1975 he has worked as a director and production assistant and since 1984 as a caster for film.

Scheel is the caster of the Lindenstrasse series , in which he played the role of Hans-Wilhelm Hülsch from 1988 to 2009. In 2020 he could be seen again in the series. Scheel is the discoverer of Til Schweiger , whom he cast for Lindenstrasse and then for the films Manta, Manta and The Moving Man . Other films that Scheel cast include: a. Dominik Grafs The Cat , Oliver Hirschbiegel's Murderous Decision , Uwe Bolls The First Semester and the Knockin 'on Heaven's Door produced by Til Schweiger . Scheel also casts TV series, u. a. the comedy series And bye! , in which he also played the minor character of Police Commissioner Kaportke. As an actor, he was part of the regular cast of the comedy man Markus .
