Bastian Rutschmann (born December 30, 1982 in Karlsruhe ) is a German handball goalkeeper who has been playing for the second division handball team Bergischer HC since 2017 .

Rutschmann was born in Karlsruhe in 1982. He learned to play handball in his hometown of Ettlingen at HSG Ettlingen / Bruchhausen before he moved to SG Pforzheim / Eutingen in the B-youth . Later he went to SG Kronau / Östringen , where he played in the second team in the regional league. After further stops at the HG Oftersheim / Schwetzingen and at the Wilhelmshavener HV , he played for two years for TV Bittenfeld in the 2nd Bundesliga . In 2011 Rutschmann went to Frisch Auf Göppingen . With Göppingen he won the EHF Cup in 2012 . In February 2014 he moved to league competitor HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . In the 2014/15 season he played for the Rhein-Neckar Löwen, where he was between the posts from 2002 to 2005. From the 2015/16 season he was again between the posts with Frisch Auf Göppingen at another ex-club. In 2016 and 2017 he won the EHF Cup with Göppingen. For the 2017/18 season he moved to Bergischer HC for two seasons . In the summer of 2019, Rutschmann ended his professional career and returned to his home club, the fourth division club SG Pforzheim / Eutingen.
