Tomáš Mrkva (born January 20, 1989 in Havířov ) is a Czech handball goalkeeper .
The 2.03 meter tall and 112 kilogram goalkeeper was under contract with ASV Hamm from 2010 to 2012 . Before that, Mrkva stood between the posts at Baník Karviná , with whom he participated several times in the EHF Champions League (2006/2007, 2007/2008). On June 5, 2012 ASV Hamm announced its move to Frisch Auf Göppingen . From there Mrkva went back to Hamm on loan in February 2013. He moved to ASV Hamm for the 2013/14 season and to HBW Balingen-Weilstetten for the 2016/17 season . He has been under contract with Bergischer HC since summer 2019 .
Tomáš Mrkva was part of the Czech national team's preliminary squad for the 2014 European Handball Championship .
