Csaba Szücs ( Hungarian Szűcs Csaba, [ ˈsyːtʃ ˈtʃɒbɒ ]; born July 28, 1987 in Košice ) is a Slovak handball player who belongs to the local Hungarian minority.

Career

Szücs played from 2002 to 2008 at HC Erlangen in various youth teams and in the 2nd handball league . In the 2008/2009 season he played in the handball Bundesliga at HSG Nordhorn-Lingen . Then he switched to TV Großwallstadt . From the 2011/12 season he went hunting for goals for TSV Hannover-Burgdorf . For the 2017/18 season he moved to Bergisch HC .
In the attack, Szücs mostly plays on the left backcourt , but now he is mainly used in defense.

For the Slovak national team he played a total of 53 international matches until December 2011 , in which he threw 99 goals. He was in Slovakia's squad for the 2011 World Cup , but had to cancel due to an injury.

Private

His father Gabor used to play for the Czechoslovak national handball team . His sister Silvia also plays handball.
