Daniel Fontaine (born July 2, 1989 in Saarlouis ) is a German handball player . He plays in the handball Bundesliga for Bergischer HC .
He is a budding police officer in Göppingen.
Daniel Fontaine started playing handball in 1994 at HG Saarlouis . In 2008 he was voted handball player of the year 2008 in the Saar handball association .
Fontaine moved to Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen in summer 2012. Göppingen and Saarlouis had also agreed a two-game right for the 2012/13 season , so Fontaine came up for both clubs. With Göppingen he won the EHF Cup in 2016 and 2017 . In the summer of 2018 he moved to Bergischer HC .
